BIO

Raey Bagley has served in stage management for theatre, musical theatre, dance, concerts, and events across the United States for over 16 years. They have also directed and choreographed theatre, musical theatre, dance, and various live events. Raey currently serves as the production manager for the University of Mississippi and is the instructional assistant professor of stage and production management.

Raey received their BA in theatre from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. After working in professional theatre for over ten years, they decided to return to school to finish their education in pursuit of joining theatre academia. Raey recieved their MFA in Stage Management from the University of Alabama. They plan to pursue PhD programs, focusing in Theatre History, Theory, Criticism, and Feminism in the future.

 

 Their theatre credits  include stage management for such shows as Barber of Seville, PippinDr. Faustus and Threepenny Opera, directing Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again., and fight choreography for Shakespeare's R & J. They were also honored to work with Huntsville Shakespeare during their inaugural season. They began as  assistant director in the company's production of Twelfth Night,  later picked up the role of Viola/Cesario, and for the  revival  was the production stage manager.

Raey is currently working on new pedagogical research for the education of beginning stage managers using Brechtian theory; thesis and paper to be published soon.
